Running for Terry

We had glorious weather for our own, Holy Rosary, Marathon of Hope. The grade 5s were pumped to  run, get some exercise and raise funds to support cancer research in Canada, especially after hearing Terry Fox’s story and the enormous sacrifice he made for us.

They all filled out their stickers to say who they were running for, because we all know families affected by this terrible illness. Together, we can make a difference!

2018 New School Year: Welcome to Grade 5

Has it been three weeks already! Time flies when you're having fun they say. We did have a bit of a rough start by going to school almost everyday in a sauna, baking sometimes at 45C and maybe not performing our best, exhausted as we were in the heat!

Welcome to the third floor! However, the grade 5s... and their teacher, are troopers and we sweated through the worst of it by having the fans on full blast, drinking lots and lots of water, keeping the lights off and activities to a minimum and keeping our cool when we really just wanted to jump in a swimming pool.

Now, we are feeling the first chills of Autumn. Yay! Time to batten down the hatches, start to reflect on how we want this year to enfold and do our very best at whatever task we undertake while being kind and considerate of our classmates and teachers.

It's a brand new school year; make the most of it. I'm looking forward to the adventure ahead, aren't you?
