Today, students walked to The Stop Food Community at the Wychwood Barns to:
1) Learn about vermi-composting using Red Wiggler worms, fruit and vegetable scraps, shredded newspaper and some water.
2) Plant seeds in organic soil to make sprouts in the greenhouse.
3) Plant lettuce and spinach in the community garden.
4) Learn about plants that grow well together, pests that are bothersome and what to plant to discourage pests from eating your food.
